The physics lab course for other departments is offered in collaboration with them for students from D-HEST, D-EAPS, D-MAVT and D-USYS. The content and organisation of these courses are tailored to the respective curricula of these degree programmes and are only offered to the relevant students.
The primary learning objective of the physics lab course for external departments is scientific work and the correct evaluation and presentation of experimental measurements. Physical phenomena are observed using simple experimental setups and measurement data is collected. This data is then analysed and a scientific report is written.
The physics lab takes place on one half-day during the semester, and you will work in groups of two. For each experiment, you will have an assistant who will help you carry out the experiment and correct the report.
